Statistics — Wow and Thank You!

Statistics! Do you ever look at them? The ones Medium keeps. They both impress me and keep me humble at the same time.

All of my numbers are probably insignificant in the grand scheme of things and nothing when compared to the professionals out there, but they impress the heck out of me. How this little unknown writer is starting to get her name known out there. I wrote my first story in 2017 and it took until January 2022 to break that magic 100 follower mark. But, it has only taken about 6 months to about double that . Seems that some key recognition gets you noticed and then it sort of explodes. Went from onesie and twosie followers to teens and even twenties — Thank you!

Story views are getting near around 1000 a month! This totally impresses me — Thank you! (This may be due to the quantity of material I have been building out there for people to find.)

Speaking of finding, — have you ever checked out the references where people come in from? Most make sense, but have you ever had one that seemed odd? I have, for example, tracking down one of those odd references, I found that I was actually quoted and referenced in a UK Newspaper (The Telegraph — how cool is that?) about this story:
